Criminal Forensic Services

Dr. Camins provides a range of forensic evaluation services for attorneys, courts, and offender management organizations. Services are provided for the court and also as an independent evaluator (retained by the defense or prosecution). Forensic evaluations often incorporate record review, clinical interviews, collateral interviews and administration of psychological testing to answer specific psycholegal questions. He accepts referrals for individuals age 12 to 100. Types of cases accepted include:

  • Fitness/Competence to Proceed Pro Se
  • Competence to Waive Miranda
  • Criminal Responsibility/Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity

Civil Forensic Services

Dr. Camins​ offers civil forensic services for courts, attorneys and independent medical examination (IME) companies. He accepts referrals for individuals age 12 to age 100. These evaluations incorporate record reviews, clinical interviews, collateral interviews and administration of psychological testing to answer specific questions. Referrals  questions include:
  • Civil Commitment
  • Guardianship
  • Psychiatric Disability
  • Worker's Compensation
  • Employment Suitability
  • Fitness for Duty 
Evaluations will, unless otherwise specified, include a report that can be utilized during legal proceedings.
